What is Webster Technique?
The Webster Technique is a specific chiropractic analysis and diversified adjustment used to treat expectant mothers to reduce physical discomfort caused by pregnancy.
During pregnancy, patients often feel increasing discomfort as the belly expands due to changes in biomechanical function and load in the spine, pelvis, and hips. The goal of the adjustment is to reduce the effects of sacral and/or SI joint dysfunction. In so doing, neuro-biomechanical function in the pelvis is improved. This technique is suitable for pre-conception all the way up to delivery.
Is chiropractic adjustment during pregnancy safe?
Yes, since chiropractic adjustment has a positive effect on all body functions by reducing nerve system stress, pregnant mothers benefit by having their spines checked regularly throughout pregnancy, optimizing health benefits for both the mother and baby.
